When you say edit a msh file, do you mean you opened the .msh in a hex editor or notepad and changed a fwe things and saved it? Or you simply opened a .tga file and colored on it and renamed it too a new name saving it too .tga?

Remember. The assets folder is the original files. They shouldnt be modified or moved. Only copyed and pasted too a new location. Via your sides folder. Thats why, incase you mess up your sides folder. You can copy another side from the assets folder.:moon: The model files are in msh format. So look for .msh files. Drag and drop them into the msh viewer. I always copy the rep_inf_ep3trooper.msh and rep_inf_ep3trooper.tga and place them into a newly created folder called CLONES. From there, I drag the .msh and drop it into the msh veiwer.

That confuses me there is a BF2 file in there but i can't drop anything in there can you please be a tad more specific? Also can i rename the file and still view it and how does the msh folder look anything like the skin thanks!:beer:

LOL!! Ok, open up msh viewer. Then find your model file which is the .msh. Then simply place your mouse corsor on the .msh file. Then click on the file and hold it. while holding it, move it too the msh viewer window and let go. Thats drag and drop.

Thought when viewing the model. Make sure the skin is the correct name and in the same folder as the model.

:Puzzled: ok here is what i tried to do from what you said: I went here C:\Users\Dave Strain\Desktop\all files here\Skinning Folder\SWBFViewer0.03 - After that i opened up SWBFViewer Then i went to where the msh was C:\Users\Dave Strain\Desktop\all files here\Skinning Folder\AGFA Skins\21st Skins Then i tries to drag that file to SWBFViewer Program, SWBF2, Republic, Tried to drop the file off there but it came up with an NO NO sign After that i just dropped the file here C:\Users\Dave Strain\Desktop\all files here\Skinning Folder\SWBFViewer0.03 - Then went into the program again searching for the file named rep_inf_ep3trooper-21st-MSH Though i could not find it!!! I do not get what you are trying to get me to do. What i meant my be more specific is: Can the file be renamed? Where do i put the file exaclly? Am i supposed to put the MSH and skin files into a folder? If i put the msh file in the SWBFViewer where do i place the skin file? Simple questions and answers like these could solve the problem so if you could explain to me those thing and where to look for the MSH file in SWBFViewer i think that this can be resolved quickly! Thanks! :)

1)You can renamed the msh file. But you cannot not rename the tga file. Unless you hex it to be renamed.

2)Put it where ever you like.

3)If you choose. It would be more neater and easier to find LOL!

4)The skin can go where ever the msh file goes. You do not have too browse for the skin at all. The msh viewer sould automaticlly load the skin if it is in the same location as the msh being viewed by the msh viewer.

I just make a folder called clones in this location c:\clones. In this folder, i place the msh file and tga file. then open the msh viewer and either browse too the file or simply drag and drop. If you dont know what drag and drop is, Then i suppose you need too spend more time with a PC before going into SWBF2 modding if any at all.

No offence. I just explained it to the point where a 10 year old can read it and get it done. :)
