I'm sure you get asked these n00b-ish questions all the time but I am a n00b at BF2 modding. So: 1. I followed the instructions in the getting started document. I placed the CP object, created the two regions, created the spawn path, and entered all their names into the correct fields for the cp object. But they don't show up! What am I doing wrong??? 2. Really n00by and probably obvious... how do I delete the default CPs? thanks for any help you can give me :)

After you add the correct information in ZE, save then close ZE. Then go to your ABCc or g con.lua and add these for however many CP's you are adding: cp1 = CommandPost:New{name = "cp1"} cp2 = CommandPost:New{name = "cp2"} cp3 = CommandPost:New{name = "cp3"} cp4 = CommandPost:New{name = "cp4"} cp5 = CommandPost:New{name = "cp5"} <============ --This sets up the actual objective. This needs to happen after cp's are defined conquest = ObjectiveConquest:New{teamATT = ATT, teamDEF = DEF, textATT = "game.modes.con", textDEF = "game.modes.con2", multiplayerRules = true} --This adds the CPs to the objective. This needs to happen after the objective is set up conquest:AddCommandPost(cp1) conquest:AddCommandPost(cp2) conquest:AddCommandPost(cp3) conquest:AddCommandPost(cp4) conquest:AddCommandPost(cp5) <=============== To delete default CP's, simply go into ZE and go to object edit mode and click on the default CP's and press the "delete" key on your keyboard. Another thing is you don't have to place a "Control" region at your CP like the "Getting Started" doc states, you can just place a capture region if you want.

1. add CP object to map named cp5 2. create region around CP named cp5_capture 3. create a path with about 6 nodes named cp5_spawn 4. add names into corresponding fields in CP object (capture region / spawn path) 5. save map and close zero editor. 6. make changes to ABCc_con.lua and ABCg_con.lua 7. Play BF2 8. NO EXTRA CPs!!!!!!! WHAT IS THE PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, now I noticed that none of my changes to the map work in the game. do I need to move some files?

Did you "munge" your map again after making these changes?

or you might not be placing your objects on the conquest layer but on the base layer?
