Well what are you comp specs. Could be that your PC might not be meet the requirments?
Well my comp isn't really that old. It's a compaq presario from like 2000. Could the problem perhaps be I don't have a graphics card?
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT WORKED! (i forgot to check the box, sorry) YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:bows::bows::bows:
Sorry for posting a lot but I now know how to do everything but when I'm using the zero editor the entire thing where the level should be is just gray. PLEASE HELP ME
It could be related to your lack of a proper graphic card. Integrated solutions used in laptops are known to cause such problems. I'm not sure about this, though. We'll see what others have to say.
:dance:I dont have a labtop (wish i did though) so yeah it probably is my lack of a gc. oh and thanks for compiling my posts, i cant seem to edit my comments for some reason
So you have a desktop computer, huh? Perhaps you should get a proper graphic card, something from NVIDIA or ATI. It doesn't have to be some expensive model; just enough for your needs. And the reason you couldn't edit your posts is simple. Regular members can edit their posts only within the first 30 minutes of posting them. After that, Edit button goes *poof*. =p
Uasally when starting off with ZE, the fedault map is just a flat view, meaning it will look gey. But when you move the camer up and down, you will be able to see the default ground. ZE camera controls Arrow Up Rotate view up Arrow Down Rotate view down Arrow Left Turn view left Arrow Right Turn view right NumPad (8)Arrow Up Move view forward NumPad (2)Arrow Down Move view back NumPad (4)Arrow Left Move view left NumPad (6)Arrow Right Move view right NumPad (7) Home Move view left and forward NumPad (9) PgUp Move view right and forward NumPad (1) End Move view Left and back NumPad Arrow Up Move view right and back
Thank you everyone for all your help, there are some things I suspect are problems but not sure if they are. Also, Is there a good mapping tutorial video out there cause I'd need one to explain everything to me cause I'm such a noob.
One reasons for ZE crashing is the lack of ram. If ya have less then 1GB of ram. Then theres like a 50% chance of ZE crashing due to it needing more ram to run. If ya have other programs running with ZE like Windows media player or an internet page going, Best to close em to free up ram. The lack of a video card well make it real tuff to display the models in ZE. Best to go with a radeon. They sell for less. Ya can get a very good radeon now a days for just $50. Even lower maybe.
I guess the fact that I only have 446 mb of ram doesn't help. :p Wouldn't a 50 buck graphics card be really slow and lag though?
Not really, unless you were runing a game like Saint rows 2 for PC lol. Would crash your PC due too high end requirements. You can get a radeon 2000 something HD for like $50. I would recommand taking a digital photo of your motherboard if ya dont know what its call or the model ID. Then showing it to the clerk at your nearest PC appliances store. They most of the times can tell if they have the right size for ya. Goes for the same with ram. A 1GB is like $40 to $90. Depends on your motherboard. Best to get a videocard with 256mb or 512mb. If ya have no virus, malware or spyare, Offline slow-down is usaslly caused by low ram memory in gaming. Especially if ya have less then 500mb of ram. Another cause is the speed of your PC, I have a 2.41GHz speed processor. 4GB of ram. And a radeon 1950 X pro. You sould have atleast 2.0 to run everything with out any troubles. Hope this helps ya. ZE and SWBF2 is known to run on low powered PC.
