There are several reasons to not realeasing any beta of my Northern Dune Sea mod, the small ones are giving me a headache.
As you know, I like to be movie accurate but still show some innovations, well, I am stuck with the Super Battle Droids, they are to be the officer class on my CIS sides, BUT I can't seem to give them a decent arsenal, the only thing I could basically do is increase their repeating blaster's rate and give charge levels to the tri-shot, Wookiepedia has some info and there are some cool modes for SBD, do you have any suggestions besides giving it more health and increasing their power?
Thanks in advance, and I will need someone who can export MSHs later, MSHEX doesn't seem to work properly, GT tutorial for basic modeling doesn't get along with rep's basic instructions to use mshex.
If you want to be movie acurate, then a SBD isn't a command droid. Command Droids are actually just special B1 Battledroids. OOM command battle droid - Wookieepedia, the Star Wars Wiki
Oh... then what's the more suitable class for SBDs? I think they can have a variety of weapons depending on the map, like the ones with Swamp Gas or the ones with blades.
Would it be better to have them as 3rd unlockable unit along with droidekas and command B1s?
I'd say poison is a great addition to the SBD, 3 unlockable units would be just fine to me. For extra improvements for the SBD I'd suggest enlarging it, slowing it's movement down a bit, possibly adding some shine to it, of course raising the fire rate, possibly even add a 2nd slower more accurate version of the blaster?
BTW, how do I make shiny textures? does it have something to do with reduncing opacity in Photoshop?
I believe it has something to do with the alpha channel, however I'm not entirely sure.

I believe that would be environment mapping, you mean like making droids shiny, right? Then again, I don't have Photoshop. I use "Fade Correction" and "Auto Contrast Enhancement" in Paint Shop Pro 7 to make stuff look shiny.
