Hello, I have done all of the steps to create a map, but when I try to make a new side and load the game, the game crashes, and whenever I modify the command posts or looks of a map and load it on Star Wars Battlefront II, the game crashes, is there anything I have done wrong, the tutorials were there for a reason, but they do not answer all of my questions, and I can do absolutely nothing to a map, except modify the sides with content already on the game. Nothing works, what can I do to fix this error? :confused:

Copy BF2_modtools.exe into your gamedata folder, and run it. Once it crashes post or somehow provide us the error log that is generated (found in the same gamedata folder).

I tried fixing it, but then the error log turned into a 26 kb text document.

There's your problem. Severity 3 and higher will usually crash your game (although 2's can sometimes as well). Did you copy the 'common' side into your SIDE folder and munge common? If not, do that, and it SHOULD fix that lightsaber problem. ;)

Thank you, I fixed that problem and it worked fine, but now there is another error where it says "Message Severity: 2 .\Memory\RedMemoryPool.cpp(170) Memory pool "SoldierAnimation" is full; raise count to at least 188" quite a few times starting about raising the count to 4 and so on, and do you mean the "Common" folder in Sides? How do I fix the Soldier Animation problem, and there are more errors about not having certain odf's I can not find, I will take another look and hope that this will get fixed.

You just really only take care of severity 3's, but the animation ones, I think that you need general grievous' animation files in the animation folder, but that means you have too much space in soldier animations. I really don't know but I got my first map fully operational, but now I need to add terrains and such. And about the script related problem, you just need to make sure you are using real names and fix around with the script file.
