Hi, I'm new here. :cya: I read somewhere that the Gametoast.com was closed because of an accident. I've seen a lot of exciting Gametoast mod on Youtube. Are these availible somewhere else, or they're lost forever? I haven't find them at Filefront. Thanks

ok heres my deal, I made a map to test all this out, called it ABC and everything, and then I tried changing the regular ep3 trooper from blue to purple, overwrote the existing file in the data_ABC sides folder that it goes it, edited the .lua file and put dc: right before SIDES like the tut said to do, but when I run the map ingame, my skin doesn't show up, instead the sides that came with the convo pack 2.0 show up, how can I fix this?

Oh...hmm, a friend of mine had that problem. I'm not sure what to do there, since that is rather....bizzare. There a couple fixes I can think of on-the-spot. One is to make a new unit, set that unit's GeometryName as the rifleman's and try loading that in the LUA. Another way is to make a copy of the rifleman's MSH and rename it to something, then go into it and hex-edit it to read a different TGA. Then set this custom MSH as the unit's GeometryName.

haha ok no idea what you just said, I'm new at this, I read over the docs and such, but I think I may just uninstall the convo pack altogether

You did just change the tga file? Do you have different sides for your main side level files?

well before I did any skinning I made the level, moved over the common and rep folders from the original sides folder and THEN I skinned them, but, I just realised that the .lua file calls on "rep_inf_ep3riffleman" and not "trooper" so I'm gonna change those and see what happens

The LUA calls for the unit's ODF name, not skin. No need to rename skins, if this is the way you'r doing it.

hmm ok I see, but I still not get it to work, I removed the map completley, even from my addon folder, and started over, skinned the sides inside the rep folder, and I made them a light blue, color, munged it, went in game, and they where all black?
