.tga is an format belonging to adobe photoshop. The .tga files can be downloaded here on the filefront site. They are in assets folder of the SWBF2 mod tools. The split file is just an image to show both programs in one image instead of posting to images. other tga known as skins can be downloaded here also. hope that helps
Thanks for the quick reply! So, the .tga is a type of file contained in a modding tool. To create a skin that is used in-game, I must download the tool, then edit a picture that comes with the tool (I use Gimp 2), and save it in a specific folder. (the "addon" folder?)

I don't mean to be picky, it's just as a modder of several games, I know the importance of finding out everything before I start. Especially the right folder.

I think I may have figured it out. I assume that you assume that I have downloaded, and installed the BFII Modding Tool(s). I hadn't and while looking at a skin pack, somebody asked where to put it. The designer said that it was useless until January (When the Modding Tools where to be released.) I had downloaded, but not instaled the tools. They are being instaled as I type.

That is because you can edit your posts only within the first 30 minutes from the moment you click Submit Reply button. After that, Edit button goes *poof*. ;)
Whoa! I just noticed this thread! This is awesome! I'm totally using this. But i have a Question: How did you get the remapped version of the skin? Mine only shows half of yours...sad face
Ahah. That remapped UV belongs too Darth DUCK. I downloaded the skins from his link he sent me. plus, you would also need the models to see the skin properly. They can be found in Gametoast. How ever, I forgot te topics name. I'm sure he will answer you if you send him a pm like I did.
thanks. I put a topic asking where they were and then Yank gave me the link.
Thanks for merging my questions Tricorder. :)
Don't mind me, I'm just unsticking the thread and leaving a notice to prevent the panic. =p
