When I finish my map, and munge it, the folder I get in my addon doesn't have any files in it, and it breaks battlefront. Why? Is it because I have the unofficial patch instead of the official one?
I problem I found when munging is my anti-virus auto protect. you might try and disable it, then try munging again. Then turn on your anti-virus after munging. Hopefully it will place all your files where they should go. Also, you have created your world using the Modtools VisualMunge.exe from this location C:\BF2_ModTools\data\_BUILD\VisualMunge.exe Then after the above is done, you need to go to this location and start munging your world from here on ontil your done your world or scrap it. C:\BF2_ModTools\data_LOL\_BUILD\VisualMunge.exe .
Does it matter if I munge before or after zeroediting?
I just found out that BF2_Modtools.exe doesn't work. Does that matter?
Turning off my antivirus didn't work. I get addme.script, but no lvl files.
Well, when starting off with a new map, you would have to munge 1st in order to have a map to use zero editor. Even thought you can still run zero editor, but there will be no map to edit. Unless you use an ingamestock map assets.
Will hmm, the only thing I can think of is creating a fresh map from here C:\BF2_ModTools\data\_BUILD\VisualMunge.exe . Make sure your anti-virus is off. Also make sure your firewall is no blocking the program.
If your map should munge correctly, from now on, run munge from this location C:\BF2_ModTools\data_yourmap\_BUILD\VisualMunge.exe. Also run zero editer from this location too C:\BF2_ModTools\data_yourmap\zeroeditor.exe
Also, is your PC capable of running games like SWBF2?
Ok, I reinstalled it and now it works. Second question: now when I place an object it doesn't show up in Battlefront. How do I fix it?
So your placing an object in the zero editor and it dosent show up? Or after placing it on zero editor and munging and running the game using your new map, the object didnt show up?
During zero editing, make sure you choose which mod your placing your object in. On top of the zero editor window, you will see active layers: underneath it will say CHANGE: Click on change and choose your mod. Conquest is the choice if your making a conquest map and not capture the flag mod.
Then simply place your objects while conquest is the selective layer. Good luck!
I mean after munging it all that shows up in the game is the textures and the command posts. And apparently it was because I forgot to paste the ODFs into the right folder. All better now.
