Every time I try to open up modtools it says that the binkw32.dll is missing. Is this an error, a bug, or a bad file? Please tell me.

go into where your battlefront 2 is kept for example C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData and copy the binkw32.dll from there
I did that but it still doesn't work!!!
Yes I copied the data over and it asks me to put the game disk in and I do, then it does nothing!!!
Move BF2_Modtools.exe to C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData. Oh, and just a heads up in case you didn't know, BF2_Modtools.exe is the debug version of Battlefront II. If you're trying to make a map, go into the modtools folder and find the documentation folder. Read Getting Started.doc. It will tell you how start your map.
Thanks for the info I tried it and it worked :) and again thanks for the info.
I take what n0e says way too seriously

I had the same problem with mine too? But i want the Battle front 1 mods tools to work too, do i fix in the same way?
So, I know that the modtools.exe for SWBII does only work with the cd-version. If you want to start it you have to download the Server Manager. Then you have to make a .bar data. But it is a little bit too cmplicated as I can explain it.
