Question 1: I have a skin made by another person (Battlefrontfreak) but i have changed the color scheme on one of his skins. Is it okay for me to send this into filefront after giving him credit? Question 2: I have downloaded a standard skin and painted it in Paint it looks alright and is not the worst skin I have seen but I wont to know do they will that be high enough quality? Call me a noob if you will but my own computer is broken at the moment and I am having to have to get by on my mums computer. Question 3: What format or filetype must the skin be in to be able to use them for modding? Is it possible to change a paint file to it?
1: When in doubt, credit that person. However, I don't know about crediting rules, such as if you can release a simple edit to another's skin or not, even if you give credit.
2: I avoid using MSPaint. paint.net, GIMP, and Photoshop are good editing tools.
3: .TGA format, the way they came in. I don't know what a paint format is, but if you opened .tga files in paint, you should be able to save to .tga.
Ok thanks, I've just downloaded gimp and it seems alot better then paint lol, anyway thanks for the answers, if anyone has anymore advice on skinning or gimp please comment. thanks :)
Oh sorry about the double post, but I wont to put some of them up in these forums how do I do that?

This could mean several things...need to be more specific there lol. Do you want to post images of what the textures look like ingame? Do you want to actually upload the textures to the forums(but why the forums and not swbf2files itself?)? What exactly?
Alright do this: 1) upload the image to the forums gallery(look at the top of the page) 2) when the image has uploaded click on it and it will take you to a new page with just that image 3) copy the address bar link 4) when you make your post click on the "insert image" button and paste the link into the box(making sure there is only 1 "http://" at the beginning) 5) put the spoiler tags around the image(no spaces ofcourse) [ spoiler ] [ /spoiler ] and thats it
