copy the dll file binkw32.dll from your swbf2 gamedata file into the mod tools folder
you dont even need to start this exe to use the modtools... read the "getting-started"-document located in the documentation-file... it explains it pretty easy how to start, so you dont need the modtools.exe, only use visualmunge and zeroeditor

Darth_Vader_OOM_9: Wrong! You copy the BF2_ModTool.exe into: C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\Gamedata It is a debug version of SWBF2, but it is crippled in a few ways where you can't use it to play the game normally. ex: - Half of the screen is a slightly transparent green as you play a map. - Everytime you finish a map, you go back to the main menu. - I don't think you can do the Campaign or Galactic Conquest on it either. So this .exe is useful for a test run on your custom map, since it skips all those icons in the beginning when you start SWBF2. The best thing about it is that it has an error log called BFront2. If your map CTD (crashes to desktop) while your using the mod tool, it posts the errors in a log. Any messages that have the "3" severity or higher make your map crash (excluding one that says, "texture must not be in L8 format!"). I think I've babbled enough on the Mod Tools. :frog:
