I've been trying to establish connection between myself, and THQ/Relic entertainment (Game creators of the Warhammer franchise) and I have come up dry.... I have started on a conversion, but have not posted the modification/map, because of the legal rights need to do such a project.

I would like to add that I would need help from some of the more advanced modders, as there is a problem that I encounter when I convert the XSI 3d models into the game... the collision of the objects are WAY misaligned, and are over scaled, in addition, I would also like to address that I have done everything that I needed when trying to fix this problem, I even set the .msh.option file to say nocollision, and it still has collision...

Anyway, if you would like to help work on this it would be deeply appreciated. :)

Let me just say this, that would take a LONG time to make. Considering you would need to make all new models, skins, etc. Oh, by the way welcome to the Forums. :)

I will say that someone on GameToast posted about this, asking if it were legally admissable. The answer he got was "probably not." As memory serves it he then said something along the lines of "Who cares I do it anywayz" and got his topic promptly locked, but eh. Just warning you that it will probably not be legal to do this.

Yeah, regrettably that was me... but I wasn't the one who posted it

My cousin posted the "who cares" portion while I was asleep

Anyway, I understand that creating this mod may be a bit of an issue, but I have not begun to post anything that I have been working on, until any legal issues have been sorted out.

I appreciate the concern and I do hope everyone understands; this is not to be posted until I or someone else has permission. Thank you.

Perhaps you should keep your cousin away from your computer or at least change your forum password to prevent that from happening again. I know a guy who had similar experience like you. He allowed his cousin (at least he claims it was his cousin) to use his computer without his supervision. Apparently, he either forgot to log out or didn't want to log out from the forum (this forum, to be exact), so his cousin used the opportunity to do some damage. I won't go into details, but the guy ended up apologizing to the person his cousin caused damage to and contacting the forum Administration to undo the damage. Damage was never completely undone and probably never will. So, if your cousin isn't responsible enough to use the computer, behave properly online and resorts to posting under someone else's name (your name, in this case), you should simply keep him away from your computer. Remember; forum staff doesn't know who's behind the User Name. If they see a post with your name on it, they will assume you posted it and therefore you will be held responsible for any misconduct associated to your User Name.

My cousin just enlisted in the NAVY, so he can no longer be any trouble.

Anyway, this mod has been tossed around soo many times, that there are times at which many of us wish it would just get done already.... personally, I don't care who does it but someone needs to gain contact with THQ, or Relic entertainment so this mod can be started.
