im fed up trying over and over and OVER to get the maps i dl to play!:banghead: iv put the maps FOLDER in the data folder thing but thats all i saw to do and they wont play!iv got the 1.1 update (i think) too but stilll nothing. someone help plz!
ok calm down i was a noob at one time too ( lol ). here's the steps: 1.)If you have played around with your BF2 Folder and made a whole buch of stuff screwed up then forst uninstall then delete the program files which should be on your local disk. 2.)Then once youv'e done that reinstall the game and get the 1.1 patch. 3.)Create a folder in your GameData Folder called AddOn ( your BF2 program files should be on your local disk then lucasarts then BF2 then Gamedata then create a new folder by right clicking on that page and going to new... then click on folder ). 4.)Download the map and then extarct all files... 5.)Then the one that has three letters (example : BOC) highlight and then go to copy folder. 6.)Then you go to My Computer. 7.)Then you go to Local Disk. 8.)Then you go to Lucasarts 9.)Then you go to BF2. 10.)you should see a folder called GameData, click on the expand button once again and then if you see your addon folder there press copy. ( if not just create it but i told you too earlier ). 11.)Go to Instant Action (in-game) and it should be there highlighted yellow. Hope i helped!, wierd165 email: firstname.lastname@example.org website: http://www.freewebs.com/wierd165 x-fire username: wierd165 (I think this si a great tutorial what about you guys?)

You don't need the 1.1 patch to play custom maps if you have the DVD version of the game. And also, You put the 3 letter name folder in a folder called Addon. So go to Gamedata, create a folder called "addon" and put the 3 letter name folder inside. If you have the CD version, you will need the 1.1 patch (pretty sure). Good luck! :lookaround:
dude dont repeat people,ok?
