I've tried downloading this mod 4 times now...alot of download:( it gets to around 87 - 88% then starts copying the file to where i saved it. As if its finished downloading. (sometimes it finishes downloading ) i try opening the file and error pops up saying the setup files are corrupted. Try and obtain a new copy. i was really looking forward to downloading the mod. anyone have any idea what's going on? any help much appreciated :)

There are many different download locations for this mod including SWBF Files, Strategy Informer, FilePlanet (free download after free signup/login with GameSpy ID), and Mod DB (download actually comes from FileFront but its a different link than SWBF Files). Try downloading it from one of these other site.

Are you doing anything else on your computer while downloading, something that involves using your Internet connection, like browsing or maybe uploading/downloading something else at the same time? If you do, don't. Don't do anything while downloading. What browser are you using? Try using some other browser. Also, try disableing your antivirus program (if you have any, ofcourse) before starting the download. Perhaps it's somehow interfering with the download.

Those are all downloaded off the FileFront servers. FilePlanet and Strategy Informer have their own download servers so you should try one of those. And like Tricorder said close all open programs when downloading a large file like this.

Another good idea is to try downloading it with a different web browser or download manager. I'm guessing your using Internet Explorer to download the mod because it downloads the file to another directory and than copies it over to your desktop or whatever folder you wanted it to download to. I would try Firefox or a download manager because they download the file strait to your desktop or download folder without copying it.

Don't play them on high graphical settings; the mod's documentation mentions this. Lighting needs to be on medium or lower for some of the SWBF1 maps, and it will help on any of the converted maps if you reduce your graphical settings (However the space maps and Endar Spire should be unaffected by SWBF1-2 conversion issues).

As far as the Conversion Pack goes, none of the original maps' units were changed, because we didn't want to break online compatibility.
