Welcome to FileFront! Hope you enjoy your stay. :)

Does the game run without the Conversion Pack 2.0? I'm not an expert on Vista since I only run XP but as far as I know SWBF2 and Vista don't work too well together but the game does work on it. Also, does your PC meet the system requirements for running the game?

Go to Control Panel, Go to Sound, Press the Recording Tab on the top, Then Right-Click Stereo Mix, Then Press Enable. Now Try It.

tnx for replying so fast.

i reinstalled the game without updating to 1.1 or anything else and the problem remained, every time a map should load it crashed, on top of that when i went to the task manager to set affiliation the game crashed immediately.

also cannot find stereo mix under my recording tab :/

im starting to think the prob is with my vista :/

PS. also i just read a few threads about graphic cards not being compatible with bf2 :/ im running a gforce 9800 gt might that be the problem?

fluffyz0r;4947741also cannot find stereo mix under my recording tab :/
  • go to the Control Panel
  • double click Sound to open it
  • go to the Recording tab (second one over)
  • right click in any open area within the tab
  • select Show Disabled Devices
  • select Stereo Mix and turn it on

Than it definitely isn't your graphics card. :D That's a really nice card there. I run the game on a laptop with integrated graphics and your graphics is 1000x better than mine. Its sure to be a Vista related issue but it wouldn't hurt to check for updates for your graphics card driver.

So i reinstalled my audio drivers and it works fine now :D tnx

but now i have a small issue, since probably 80% of you tried or still have the convopack, and mine closes to desktop without any warning in the middle of a map, especially citadel :/ if anyone got any clues im all ears :/

also i did not have the audio mix function cuz when i installed vista my dad played too much with all the features and settings :/ so if theres no audio mix one should reinstall the audio drivers :D

:teach: That's what happens when you let your parents play with your computer. :D

I don't know about the Convo pack, so I'll let someone else help you with that.

Try downloading the patch found here. And you will get random crashes every now and than because of all of the Conversion Pack content.

Thats interesting you had a issue with Vista because i have Vista and everything (well mostly everything not including mod tools) has ran fine. What are your computer specs? And ha with parents my dad thinks he know everything! He doesnt have a clue. If the patch doesnt help try asking on Gametoast. -= Gametoast.com =- • Index page
