Well I used to have conversion pack 2 which was great but then after a while i decided to delete it and then after i deleted it(im pretty sure) when ever im on death star and tantive 4 the game crashes to the desktop about 3 mins into the game. and also i was wondering does conversion pack 2 edit any of the files that are already there.
Could you please help me
Straight from the author:
Maveritchell;4910818The Conversion Pack doesn't do anything to your original game files that could make what you described happen.
Have you tried reinstalling the game? Did you have any problems with it before installing the Conversion Pack or during the time it was installed?
Yeah I,ve tried that many times and it still crashes:bawl: any other ideas??
Ive got XP
Did you make any alterations to your system that might affect the game behaviour (installed some new drivers, replaced some hardware component, etc.)? What graphic card do you have? Do you have this or similar problem with any other game?
I havent got any new drivers or anything but i did delete some files from battlefront 2 that I think came from the conversion pack but I only done that once I realised that the 2 maps werent working and they havnt affected the game in any way.
My graphic card is a random one that you would never have heard of and I dont think its the graphics card anyway becausei think maps worked properly before I deleted the conversion pack 2 but if you really want to know what it is can you tell me how to check
Thanks
- right-click on Desktop and choose Properties
- go to Settings tab
- look what's written under Display (for me it says Plug & Play Monitor on NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT)
Say, did you patch the game after reinstalling it? If you did, what version of the patch you installed?
It says PLug and PLay Moniter SiS 741 and yeah i patched it to version 1.1
It seems you have an integrated graphic card. I bet that's the problem. You see, integrated graphic cards are not good for gaming. I've seen cases like this many times before around this place. People were playing their games on integrated graphic cards just fine at first, but then, for some unknown reason, their games simply refused to work properly or even refused to work at all. I have no idea why. Some people were able to solve the problem by updating the graphic drivers. Others were not. I don't know why. Best thing you can do is to get a proper graphic card, something from NVIDIA or ATI. I don't know what else to suggest you. Perhaps someone else here knows something I don't. :clueless:
