I followed the "getting started" guide included with the bfII mod tools, and started up the game, just to see if the "ABC" map showed up in the map menu. It would get to the first loading screen, before the logos or login, and it would crash to desktop. If I removed the ABC folder from the addon folder, the game would start normally. Help? I really don't have any clue why it's doing this, I believe I "munged", which is a really fun word by the way, everything correctly. If I don't reply for a long time, it's cause it's late, and I have a job orientation tomorrow (Yay!) I will send my thanks eventually though:D

Did you d/l the mod tools before you got the game? If you did you need to re-install.

Thanks, I think I figured it out though. I had moved the modtools folder when trying to figure out why it could not find binkw.dll, so it was in the wrong directory, which is strongly discouraged in the readme. I set the path to find the dll though, so I put it back where it belonged and now it works fine. Now I just have to figure out how to make it a bit more impressive than a large square. There's a map hosted on battlefront files that looks exactly like it though. Interesting. Thanks though :)
