Maybe you guys can help me out on this. :)

I'm having trouble installing the SWBF2 v1.1 US patch. I've reinstalled the game twice now and then installed the patch. Each time it's yielded the same error:

Wrong disc inserted. Please insert the original "BattlefrontII" CD/DVD.

The game worked fine before installing the patch, yet each time I install the patch, I consistently get this error. The tech support forums @ LucasArts have been of no help whatsoever. Any ideas?

When did you buy the game? The patch may already be installed. Also is your disk a dvd or cd-rom?

Take a look at this thread and see if you can find something helpful:

I had bought the game a few days after release, so I've had it for a while....just haven't had time for games lately. The game is came in DVD format. The patch was not installed prior to my attempt to patch it. I tried the solution linked in that other thread via the LucasArts tech support forum, but it didn't help much. :(

I'm wondering if I open the xml file "Launch" and change the domestic value to false, then the international patch will install? I've only tried the domestic US version thus far.

This is too wield. I have heard of problems with DVD version of game before though. I had this same issue with updating my Empire at War DVD. Try what you said there then if that doesnt work and LucasArts wont talk to you, go out and get a new copy with the patch on it.

Leave it to LucasArts to force you to buy the game twice before it works, no pun intended.

lol. It seems they dont care about your problems if its to do with a game more then 2(maybe 3) years old.

Not even that. It took them 4 months after release to get v1.1 to the public, and now when I actually care enough to install it, it doesn't work.
