I followed a tutorial on hex editing using PSpad hex editor, except the units I replaced were different, when I loaded up the map, the unit hadn't changed or vanished completly and in some cases the map crashed on loading. In this case was trying to Replace the Droideka with the Super Battle Droid on Rends Coruscant City [CO1] Here's what I did opened up mission.lvl searched for Droideka replaced the text cis_inf_droideka with cis_inf_rifleman searched and repeated until there was no cis_inf_droideka left saved the file then loaded up the map and there was an empty space where the replacement should be. What went wrong?

Now why are you editing Rend's map Corusant City's mission.lvl? Just change it back and don't screw around with other people's maps. EDIT: your file is corrupted by the way.

Because I was doing it for my own personal use, is that wrong?

Oh nevermind then. I thought you might distribute it or something (I've been getting crazy thoughts for the past few days). This hex edit is kinda useless, though, I mean why are you replacing the droideka with the SBD when you already have it as the first class? Just change it back if you want. :frog:

Because I hate the droideka, and the magna guard and bothan spy for that matter, I started this before I could side edit.

Don't forget the Imperial Officer (lol)! In that case, just delete the droideka text.
