i have a problem w/ my lan. when i connected my 2 computers together, i went online to see if i could play w/ my friend on the other computer, and when he hosted a server, it didnt show up when i looked on my computer for it. Also, I have a friend in another state and i always try to play online w/ him, and his servers dont show on mycomputer, and my servers dont show up on his, and when i tried to call the BF2 hotline, but they couldn't do anyhting... so help please!
Well for the first question with the LAN... You went online to see if you could play with him? I may be wrong, but don't you just go to Instant Action, and then theres a scroll-down menu to choose LAN in? Actually, prolly not... But, did you actually go online? You don't have to.

when you go to multiplayer, it gives you the otpion of logging on to the internet or logging on to the lan, but when i host a server there, it dosent work.

U need a router & ... I think internet hooked to the router
i do have a router, but i dont see how that an help, i have set up my lan

hook up: open lan atatchment
If it doen't work you can allways set up a 2p internet game
not at home right now, I am at school. but I will try it when I get home. I am pretty sure though that the 2 computers have 2 different IP adresses, but I know that they are pretty close like a few numbers off
