Is it against the rules to see if someone has a backup of the original, shipped SIDES folder? I installed a mod and it didn't say anything about backing up because it said "everything went in Addon" and it most surely did not, leaving me with mucked up units on the rest of my maps.
P.S. The reason I'm asking and not just reinstalling is the fact that my CD broke in half a few weeks ago.
It's not technically "legal" for us to post unmodified game files to you (why makes no sense in light of the fact that we ship modified game files all the time, but rules are rules). However, if you want, you could technically download the Conversion Pack (or just the 1.3 patch) and let it overwrite your stock files. You can either stick with those sides (they're just a visual upgrade to the stock sides, online compatibility is still fully there), or you could "uninstall" once you've installed, which will restore your stock sides to the default SWBF2 sides. It has to be that way, because the 1.3 patch will build the new sides and then "rebuild" back down to the original sides.
The Conversion Pack 1.3?(I had it, but I took it out due to wanting to experiment with other mods)
I'll try it out.
No - the Conversion Pack 2.0 or the Unofficial 1.3 patch (which right now is only available at Gametoast). Those are the only two things that you can use in the way I mentioned above.
I used the Conversion pack- I <3 the skins and KotoR era anyway,
Thanks a lot man, I appreciate it. =]
