So, I tried recently to play a multiplayer game on Battlefront 2.

Problem was, we each had different server lists. I had a list of games available-clan servers and the like, but he had a completely different list. Also, if he created a game, I couldn't see it, and if I created one, he couldn't. This was the case for both LAN and internet. We were both running through GameSpy and the same router.

Any ideas why?

As for your question, this is probably due to your router settings but it can be caused by a lot of different things. Certain firewall settings on the router can block out certain servers, you can find out how to open ports in your router through a simple Google search. Also, go to your games Settings > Online and make sure you have search all regions set to on. If you and him are both running the same game using the same CD Key you won't be able to play on the same online server but on LAN it'll work fine. Also, just in case you don't already know, when a server gets full the server will disappear from the server list completely and make sure all of the server filters are set to everything. If you do have two separate games with different CD Keys you could try using Xfire to join a server. Xfire has its own way of searching servers and you can join any server right through it.

If LAN won't work, I don't have any suggestions for you. Me and my brother use to play LAN and the servers sometimes wouldn't show up most of the time they did though and played fine. Most of the time I used the SWBF2 Dedicated Server 1.1. So give that a try, it might just work. Hope you get it working, and good luck. :)
