Where can I find a 3d modelling program that's compatible with EaW? Is there freeware that I can download? Or at least a trial? I don't happen to have $3000 laying around...

The only EaW capatible 3D program is 3ds max, which happens to be $3000, but there a 30 day trial, and if you have not used it before, you can get very mad, very fast (if you are like me)

It's not $3000, it can be even $300 , depends on content of a box (besides program itself).

Well i was going from the price on the AutoDesk website, it seems all their programs are most expensive on their own site :deal:

If you can get a real modeler to rig and skin a model for you, you can use GMax, whitch is free, or if you want to get the 3ds trial, first master GMax. also with a student licens, you can get 3ds for 100$ , gimp(a freeware program) can make textures, but somone else has to apply them, look on the new sticky, i'll be posting some stuff later their that knives left out/hasn't found yet

Yes, I recommend you 3D Studio Max 8. And you must install the max2alamo plug-in to export the model into .alo . Enjoy!!! And good luck!!!

Ya, me too. I hate this also. But it is the only way. Oh, and I also hope that they release the new max2alamo plug-in.:)
