Can anyone tell me how to add specific types of hardpoints to a ship eg. adding a mass driver to a Kadalbe cruiser P.S. Sorry for posting here because if there is an FoC forum part of this site, I cannot find it

Open up HardPoints_Underworld.xml Find the Keldabe Hardpoints. ---Now are you wanting to add in another firing point, or just replace some of the turbos and ions with a mass driver---

Adding another one: (i thank droid for showing me this) -first, copy this code: HARD_POINT_WEAPON_MASS_DRIVER YesYesTEXT_WEAPON_MASS_DRIVER425.0 Large_Explosion_Space Unit_Hardpoint_Mass_Driver_DeathUV_KedalbeBattleship_HP_MDB_FRNT_00.aloHP_MDB_FRNT_00_BONEHP_MDB_FRNT_00_COLLHP_MDB_FRNT_00_BLASTHP_MDB_FRNT_00_EMITDAMAGE Hardpoint_Breakoff_Kedalbe_MassDriver_Front FP_MDB_FRNT_00FP_MDB_FRNT_01170.090.0Proj_Kedalbe_Mass_Driver3.04.080.21800.0Unit_Anti_Air_Fire Fighter, 70.0 Bomber, 70.0 Transport, 30.0 Corvette, 15.0 Frigate, 5.0 Capital, 10.0 Super, 20.0 -then take these two parts: YesYes and make them say No where it Says Yes. -then you can paste the entire code that says No below the original code to have numerous firing points. just make sure that you name them different things

Ex: original- next firing point

but, if your just wanting to replace some turbolasers or ions, find this line: Proj_Kedalbe_Mass_Driver and change this line in the turbolasers, and ion hardpoints, if you want to go farther, and make it sound like more mass drivers are firing enter this line in the turbos and ions: Unit_Anti_Air_Fire

theres both ways, any more help just ask me.

You could also add a hardpoint to a firing bone if you wanted to, just change the attachment bone to either the fire bone a or fire bone b of an existing hardpoint, change the new hardpoint's fire bone a and b to that of the one you chose for the attachment bone, and make sure to remove the completely, but on some units the firing bones are too close to the attachment bones they are for and it gets hard to target one hardpoint instead of another. I did exactly what what you said, Oddslayer but now my game won't start and if I open the XML file in Internet explorer, when I get to the hardpoints for my ship It highlights the name blue and says there is an error in the name P.S. I am not using the Kadalbe I am using the Lucrehulk battleship from z3r0x's FoC addons.Even when I did look for the Kadalbe I could not find it

Mind posting, your coding for the ship? might help to see if there's any errors. sometimes others pick up on mistakes better than yourself.

Here is the coding for the ship: I added quite a few mass drivers The blue highlighted text is what gives me the error in Internet explorer The error says: A name was started with an invalid character. Error processing resource 'file:///C:/Program Files/LucasArts/Star Wars Empir... those codes are all for the keldabe ship, for the lucrehulk, open up the .alo viewer and see the firing point names
