I think it's possible. The only way I can think of this happening is if you were to place the font that you want in the correct places. Since the game reads the text in the .mtd file, I would think that by placing the font in there you would see the font in the game. And before anyone who would say, "You can't do that since you can't change the font in the MTD editor", you can paste font in the description section for the MTD editor. I haven't actually tried using new font by using copy and paste, so I could be wrong.

Hope this helps,

Haven't tried it, but i've seen this in data\resources\guidialogs.xml.....

IDD_LAN_JOIN_DIALOG DIALOGEX 0, 0, 620, 520 STYLE DS_SETFONT | DS_MODALFRAME | DS_CENTER | WS_POPUP | WS_CAPTION | WS_SYSMENU CAPTION "Dialog" FONT 8, "Arial", 400, 0, 0x0 BEGIN PUSHBUTTON "TEXT_BUTTON_CANCEL",IDC_LAN_CANCEL_BUTTON,7,476,128,24 PUSHBUTTON "TEXT_BUTTON_ACCEPT",IDC_LAN_START_GAME_BUTTON,459,476, 128,24 LISTBOX IDC_LAN_CHAT_LIST,7,278,606,154,LBS_SORT | LBS_NOINTEGRALHEIGHT | WS_VSCROLL | WS_TABSTOP EDITTEXT IDC_LAN_CHAT_EDIT,7,446,580,18,ES_AUTOHSCROLL LISTBOX IDC_PLAYER_LIST,7,121,200,147,LBS_SORT | LBS_NOINTEGRALHEIGHT | WS_VSCROLL | WS_TABSTOP LTEXT "TEXT_LAN_JOIN_PLAYERS",IDC_STATIC,7,102,192,18 LTEXT "TEXT_LAN_JOIN_GAME_SETTINGS",IDC_STATIC,227,102,367,18 LTEXT "TEXT_LAN_JOIN_GAME_TITLE",IDC_STATIC_BIG,7,7,588,18 LTEXT "<>",IDC_SELECT_CAMPAIGN,231,130,192,18 END

Give it a try, and let us know.

Its easy, just find an object in GUIDialogs, like this one: EmpireAtWar-Bold 0 1 8 253,248,212,255 253,248,212,255 Yes No And just change the name of that into a font loaded on your computer. If you want to know what fonts you have, do some searching in your control panel area. Also note that each object references a certain area of text, for instance, the third button on the main menu, or something like that. Hope this helps! :)

Actually, that was my question: does the game read fonts from your computer, the executable, or where?

It can read fonts stored in your fonts folder on your computer. So all fonts in there are usable along with the ones stored in the game itself.
