Well I am up early this morning and I had a thought last night. If nobody has time to really get into detail with this, I could do a little reverse engineering. I know not to ask for anyones Max originals, but if someone would code up a cylinder with three or four bones in it and make it available that would be awsome. If it is skinned a solid shade with the Rskin shader etc and everthing transfers to .Alo ok, I am familiar enough with max to figure out where my disconnect is. Just a thought. Thanks for the replies yesterday!

Problem Solved! I guess a lot can happen when you get the day off work. What an idiot I am. I have been working spaceship models for so long, stuck in a rut that I was still using .FXO files. Get the FOC shaders....use Rskin.FX shaders....Presto! Working-Animated-Models. What a rediculous thrash to go through after so much work. Thanks again for the posts. I know how to code, but I may have a few questions about getting the infantry to react with the correct animations at the correct times.

Very glad you got it working. Maybe you could create a guide for us newbies at modelling. There is a great demand for modelers. I have 3ds max 7, and have a very hard time understanding the guides for shading, and uv unwrapping, etc. Maybe a simplistic guide on how to get a "cube" in game. That should be enough to get me started.

Why not make a dark trooper -level 4, and make him as huge as two at ats staked on each other,that would be cool you know, and give him a super hyper pulse laser that can blow up a chunk of land that would be cool. and give him a para mine launcher that shoots mines all threw out the map while he flys on his pack so the mines land on the ground of in the middle of the battle.

Ok, Rom Mohc died at phase III. Plus, that's rediculous, it would kill certain computers and completely overpower the Empire.

finnaly a good argument. ok thats not rediculous, and infact you can make him weak against infantry, so a plex throoper can own him, and dont give him any sheilds. I was only saying he would be great as a building fighter. I don't forget how powerfull those, plasma tanks are and if your still mad give the under world a howister to complety puncture his armor

Assuming that it wouldn't overpower the empire and even if someone was able to code that in, it would be too tall to see the top and it would be completely fanon.

Max 8 shaders was fixed with FoC map editor I believed. There was an error with it before. Mike.nl provided fixed shaders before foc came out as well.
