I was experimenting a bit with B-wing and I wanted to make its weapons switchable. In B-wing we got 5 hardpoints - how can I make B-wing fire only 1,2,3,4 weapons and after switch only number 5? I tried to code it but its better to ask there I guess :P

Ok, I've already done that. T4B has two weapons: blasters and missiles. Blasters are described in unit code but missiles hardpoints have their own code in hardpoints.xml- no problem. But B-wing has 3 types of weapons - laser cannons, ion cannons and missile launcher. Is there way to make it fire both ions and lasers in normal mode and missiles in alternate one?

Delete the missile xml, than put the ability onto the B wing and have protons be the switch weapon. i'm really not sure if thats right, put i'm sure about the deleting the weapon part. i really never messed around with that ability.

I think I asked bad question. Ok, I know how to do it with TWO weapons but what if I have THREE and I want two of them to fire in normal mode and fire only one in alternate? I'm having problems with that...

In T4B there is laser cannon which isn't coded hardpoint, just Proj_Ground_Laser_Cannon_Red_T4B in GroundVehicles.xml file. So I'd have to put two projectiles for two different weapons in there, and it's impossible. Only missille launcher is hardpoint with code in Hardpoints.xml

At least I can make it to fire one weapon in normal mode and two weapons in alternate, but it wouldnt be the same.

Ok, it's impossible to make that effect then. Thread closed

That's because the laser is built in to the unit code as a turret. I would have to double-check, but I THINK that there's a line of code right near the projectile type telling it not to fire that in missile mode.

For the B-wing, I would guess the ions and missiles are hardpoint, simplifying it greatly. Just find the line from the T4b and copy it to the B-wing, and add the same line as in the hardpoint to the B-wing hardpoints, only change true to false for the ion.
