Does anyone know whether the AI Empire EVER builds star destroyers? Or if the AI Rebels EVER build Calamari Cruisers? I rarely run into them when I'm playing the other side. How do you get into the AI to build more capital ships? (it gets pretty one sided throughout the game when they DON't build them, even though they still have the planets where capital ships can be built)

Depends on what difficulty you're playing on, if it's on hard and they still don't produce capital ships, then it's probably why most mods change the AI difficulty. I know sometimes in skirmish on easy the Empire AI can build an Executor (On FoC)

I'm playing in Galactic Conquest mode; and the difficulty is on hard. I've been looking through all the XML files having to do with AI, and I don't see where to make changes. It seems the XML file having to do with difficulty only modifies how long it takes to build ships, structures, etc.

It's in the .LUA files that are given to you when you install the map editor, typically located in C:Program Files/Lucas Arts/Star Wars Empire At War Forces of Corruption/Mods/Source/Data/Scripts/AI

OK, I found it. There's a script that says "Buildspaceforcesplan." I think that has something to do with it. Unfortunately, when I open it in notepad, it's a bunch of jibberish. I can make out a part that says basically.. . Corvette = 0,4 Frigate = 0,4 Capital = 0,4 Should I change any of these to increase the chances that the AI will build capital ships? Is there a better program to open the .lua file to make more sense of it? Thanks for your help :)

Wish I could help you here but unfortunately I cannot. I have been told to just use Notepad to edit the .LUAs, but maybe there's a better program out there somewhere.
