D3matt;5382524Hey look who's trying another way to get people to visit them.

Hmmm let's see, nope not really kid. I created the thread for those that are concerned with what Alpha Blue is and does and like what JC already stated to stop people from spamming other peoples threads. It seems certain people on here talk about Alpha Blue on other peoples threads so now they can do it here and you will get a response from AB instead of hiding your comments in other peoples threads.

there is nothing wrong with this,

it not like it say come over here join are forum (that would violate the rules) this say if you have and concerns you can ask here go to our site and ask

this was done do to in the past weeks there has threads spammed with stuff about Alpha Blue, and when members where told to stop or get back on topic, the members deiced to continue.

it got out of hand to the point that almost 3 full pages of another persons topic where nothing put spam that had to be removed.

now with this thread there's a place that you can ask you questions and get an answer for members of AB or go to there site and ask

X

Well i got some news for people here. We have been talking about re organising how the group works lately. At some point in the future if this goes ahead ordinary members who upload their work to alpha blue will be eligible to be upgraded to an Alpha blue rank.

The details are not fully worked out yet, but this basically means the group will reward more people for participating in the group's activities. You can then potentially also gain access to the hidden parts of the forums that have more advanced modding resources you can use in your mods.

In the past we have only shared this with people who were voted into the group. This new re design of the group means ordinary members can be ranked as well and recognised for their skills with EAW modding. i think this offer is fair, and it's come after the misunderstandings people have had about the group.

You can bash this idea until you have tried it. You wont get nothing out of some thing unless you give it a go. There is a wider EAW community of other web sites and groups who work just as hard to keep the game alive as does the File front forums, so don't look around with blinkered vision, and join more sites that support EAW. Of course their are people who are here who are too skeptical to even give it a go, but i hope some of you think about the idea, and realise you will be gaining some thing from it.

err...you may want to re-phrase that.

Anyway I personally find it silly to hide anything, it just harms the community, and for that reason I will not take part. Good luck with the reorganisation though, it does sound like a better idea that what was there previously.

We are not really hiding, you know. I've just checked our Download section. We've got 242 public files(I know a lot of files are from Warb) and 39 private files plus some more scripts in our private section.

So why don't we share those scripts with the community? Because the majority of them will be used for mods that aren't released, yet. Would you release parts of your mod before the mod itself is released? I don't think so. Alpha Blue's purpose is to help each other's mods, so by not throwing everything out to the public we're merely preventing that 897564 mods are using the same material and ideas; ideas we ourselves still would like to use.

No, its silly to release scripts to the community that will be used in a 100 mods before you have even released a mod your working on that wants to feature this script. OK, so why don't you go accuse people like Zer0x of hiding material from his mod RAW ? - See where that gets you,. Don't be a hypocrite and think about what you say FIRST,.

You know a community is supposed to be based on File sharing NOT leeching.

The guys who work on those scripts make them for Alpha blue modders to use for their mods, just like you would make some thing for your own mod - do YOU release all the stuff your working on with your mod - before you actually finish it ? - I doubt it.

People who decide to take part will have the ability to gain a rank in the group, thus giving access to higher levels in the site - thus showing the hidden content. You don't want to take part of that - your choice mate. But you are missing out on some very nice things people have made.

The idea of reform is simple - to give the ability to gain higher levels of access to more people than we normally allow. Rather than just voting for people who apply to be a member of the group.
