I'm new to modding this game and was just wondering if these two things were even possible, if any one else had tried already. I want to allow star destoyers to act as transports for ground troops, as they are supposed to be like a mobile attack force compete with fighter, AT-vehicles and stormtroopers aren't they? also I would like the spawning of fighters to be more controled like the spawning of stormtroopers for AT-ATs and like vader's executor special ability... are either of these things possible, have others tried?

thats a sweet idea! but i have sum questions star destroyers are literaly indestrucable on during a ground combat if they still have their weapon systems.the player will always win becuz the enemy's anti air weapons will not even scratch the ships thick armor and will be able to safely unleash its army. what about during space combat make star fighter carriers really STARFIGHTER CARRIERS by giving them a whole bunch of empty slots

Well the star destroyers would not be in a ground mission, besides teh "star wars realism" I just didnt like the problem of not being able to safely move ground units with a space unit into a battle because then there are SO many little lander ships and theya re so vulnerable. Like I said though I don't reallly know the limits of EAW editing yet because I have just started modding for it. I'm sure there are tricks to get around most modding problems.

All are possible, But the ISD as Transport requires an ALO Importer, and Animation.

as kalo said,by the way,ISD would not be indestructable,since hardly anything is mach to ZC's mass drivers,and rebels could use something like ion cannon for insta kill.

you could easily copy what the ATAT has for it's tropper spawning ability into the star destroyers i think you would just have to change the line that says what is spawned.

rget which mod, but one mod might have done this whenever i hovered over a venator, there were the transport buttone

u could add TRANSPORT into the star destroyer's Behavior and add a line for the land model, but i think the best way to do it would be to change Imperial_Landing_Craft to Star_Destroyer, but then every time you would build a ground unit you would have another star destroyer, or maybe you could have the star destroyer controllably spawn a transport unit.

the problem with that is that there is no landing animation for the isd, so it would appear, then dissapear, i think....

kalo shin knows what happens
