Alright, stop Everyone, calm down.

As stated, it is not illegal to share it between friends, though if it ever was posted to a site such as EaW filefront, or Alphablue, it would then become 'illegal' per say and the mod would then be taken down. But as long as that doesn't happen he will be fine, so you can stop with this topic now.

Hey um, I'm the "friend" mentioned in the OP and I want to thank Kalo for the links, however we've hit a bit of a snag. We got all the space units ingame and working, but neither of us have ever worked on ground... like.. at all. And adding ground units, especially infantry, is quite different then adding space units. What I'm getting at is, while we figured out what files were needed, and got all the required data for the space assets, we have no idea what we need to get the ground units working. Are there any individual ARC models anywhere? Because I seriously doubt our ability to properly get it from that mod :(

P.S. This mod is just between the two of us, we're not the greatest modders out there but we know the modding code, it's just a bit of fun between friends.

What I linked isn't even a mod, its a bunch of folders containing the models and textures. You'll do just fine.

Aha! And so they were! Well I got them all ingame and working, for the most part. However I do have another question, all the clone models just take the color of whatever your color is. Is there a way to make them a color, and have them stay that color no matter what?

For example, I want a Red arc trooper leading a squad of blue arc troopers, however all arc troopers are the same color as I chose.. so... pink for example. I can't see a way to fix this, if there even is a way.

Edit: I'm trying to make a hero, basically it's a venator in space but on the ground it's a Jedi and an ARC, like Han Solo and Chewbacca. However I just can't get it to work. I have the ARC xml, the jedi XML, the venator XML, they're all heroes and work individually. So I tried making a heroes company where their space unit was the venator, and their ground units were themselves, again like Han and Chewie. However whenever I boot up the game and start the GC with that hero, my game crashes. I have no idea why it wont work. I copy-pasted Han/Chewie's hero company (modding away all references to them and inputting all the necessary information), I know I'm overlooking something but I've been stuck at a dead end for hours :|

To the first part of your question, yes, it's quite easy. If for example you wanted a unit to have red coloring instead of whatever color you have for your faction, you find the unit and insert this line of code:

238,71,54,255

This makes your unit red. This code:

24, 133, 251, 255

Makes them blue. I actually use this exact method in Return of the Clones (RotC) to make my ARC troopers have blue markings, and my ARC Captain Hero to have red markings.

As for your other problem, we'd need to see the code to figure out what it wrong.

Thanks for the answer on the first question, however do you have the color-code for pure white? Seems silly but the code you gave doesn't use RGB codes, or... atleast not any I recognize <.<

As for the second question, I'm convinced it has to do with the heroecompanies entry since all the individual heroes work fine, it's putting em all together that breaks it. So, I'll show you the herocompanies entry I have, if that's not it you'll have to tell me what to show you :(

You're trying to call a company within a company. That won't work.

Also, the No_Colorization_Color is for situations where there is no team color. There's a different line for not having team colors I think.

Also, it's R,G,B,Alpha (I think)

Ah, ok thanks. Also whatdya mean a company within a company? Can a hero not have an infantry squad as it's ground unit or something? And even so, I did think about that and I removed the clone squads and I STILL got the crash, so I don't think they're the problem.

P.S. I added that color code into my XML, but the ARC model still uses my team color. :|

Bump for knowledge, and another question.

I'm trying to add an ability to my ARC hero, where he summons a LAAT/i dropship. I just took the deploy troopers ability from the at-at, adjusted what needed adjusting (such as how many objects it spawns, WHAT it spawns, what bones it's attached to) and when I test it ingame, the ability shows up but it's grayed out like if it's already been used, any idea how to fix it?
