Alright, I just got an idea on a new faction for EAW, and I thought 'Hey! I should make a campaign for them!' so here I am! I am wondering how you make a completely new campaign, new cutscenes/movies, how to set mission goals, all the stuff! Everything about making a new campaign! And if you're a really awesome person, you'll give me a full out tutorial on how to do it. (If you do help, I shall :bows:. If you dont, :uhm:)

Read thru the story scripting guide that came with Map Editor, and learn to become a functional programmer in LUA.

Everything about making a new campaign!

Look in the master sticky for the campaign tutorial.

yes, I understand it, but it takes lots of time to figure it out and get it to work. Especially the .lua files, which i also don't understand.

No, you need to read thru the Story mode scripting and tutorial guide. I learned .lua, and story scripting by studing the game tutorial file. There are not many people willing to learn this so if you would your skills would be in great demand by mod teams. Once you start learning it doesn't seem like such gibberish after a while. I started by read the guide, then searching the xml's for examples of "event" types, and "reward" types. I guess I could create a map with markers, a lua script, and story xml, as a tutorial on how to link these to create a story campaign.

yeah SI is right, events aren't very difficult to understand, you just have to read that tutorial. And once you got the basic stuff you don't want to code anything else anymore, that's at least what happened to me :D If the tutorial from petro is too difficult you could join eawandmore, I've posted a small tutorial about the very basic things of event coding in the members only section there. I can't say anything about lua, I haven't understood them, yet.
