hello to all

recently, again i found myself trying to create vader like hero in EAW.

i tryied to create 1) namedhero - with Unique_Space_Unit, also with Company_Transport_Unit that points to my xwing in uniqueunits.xml

2) herocompany - with / without transport unit that points to xwing

3) xwing in uniqueunits.xml that has REPLENISH_WINGMEN, Create_Team, Create_Team_Type

4) squadron - with / without REPLENISH_WINGMEN

5) container ...

is there a way out ?!

i would like to create luke as vader...

p.s. REPLENISH_WINGMEN is third Unit_Ability because i have LUCKY_SHOT and SPOILER_LOCK

help please :)

I don't believe you can have three abilities unless the third is self-activated/automatic (autofires), meaning you won't be able to activate it, it will activate on its own. I'm pretty sure that's the only way you can have three or more abilities. So you'd either have to remove one of the abilities or make one ability self-activated/automatic.

REPLENISH_WINGMEN is not neccessary but i think it is the only way for creating vader like hero similar to the squadron heroes in PhoenixRising.

I have only made 1 hero unit but I'm very sure you cant use 3 ability's.

I made a new hero out of vader I used I copied it, renamed the hero and added several texts for him and for the new starship i created for him. but anyways there should be a line in there that says Executor_Super_Star_Destroyer Change it to whatever unit you want his space unit to be, better if its one you created for example i created a version of the venator that is fast and super powerfull and has the proton beam weapon. But you can use a existing one if you choose to do so.

There is also several other entries in hero companies you will need to copy and rename aswell Possibly this one

And both of these

Plus you will need to copy this one aswell in UNITS_SPACE_EMPIRE_EXECUTOR.XML

Ya i know it takes a lot of files to edit to create a new unit but trust me it needs to be done.

And to change the model for the charecter the line to change is EI_VADER.ALO

And change icon

I hope this helps in some way.

you are correct... you cannot have three ability buttons, but you can have more than three abilities if that makes any sense...the hero ability buttons are easier to deal with but if you want more abilities your going to have to add them in, and make them automatic...heres an example of my sith unit youll notice he only has two powers you can activate force crush, and corrupt, but keep looking and youll see he has the sith attack structures ability and others that are automatic.. meaning that if you try to attack a building with my sith he automaticaly starts to pick it up off the ground. so even though there arent three buttons, he has three abilities... I could do this with the force crush also but I made a button out of lazininess...
