For our mod, we require new sfx for certainunits. we have the files in mp3 right now... only problem is, which folder do they go in? Audio\speech\ENGLISH or somewhere else? in the appropriate SFx_Event code, we have the exact names of the music files, but they still won't play. Help?

Data\Audio\SFX

and you need to add them in SFXEvents_EXP_UnitsHeroes.xml

eg.

Preset_URdata\audio\SFX\Unit_Select_4lom.wav Yes

It doesnt much matter wher you put them as long as you include the path aswell as the soundfile name like in the example in the above post.

Yeah, part o it was making Rogue Squadron the Rogue Squadron of the books... and we had some voice-acting for various members... thank you! (onussolitariusanimi makes a good voice actor)

One thing though...if I remember correctly, Empire at War reads SFX files as .wav files. You may have to convert the .mp3s to .wavs in order for it to work.

Sometimes a game requires the audio files to have a set sample rate, bitrate, and channel count. See if the mp3's settings are right.
