I have another dreadnought model if that model won't work. So can I use the turret models from the dreadnought in ROTM to put on the new one?? Thanks

I didn't realize you were using separate models for the turrets. Are the bones and meshes being used all on the turret model, or were some of them on the main model? I don't have a whole lot of experience with using separate turret models, sorry.

D3matt;5356822The first thing I notice is that every bone is connected to the root. All the other models I've seen connect bones in a branching tree form, with the turrets having their gun and damage bones coming off of them. That's probably why it's not working right. EDIT: Also I can confirm that the one you linked above works perfectly.

nope! the most models i have is like this one. all hardpoints are connected with the root. and i have no problems. @starkiller: i think u can use those turretmodels but im not sure. just try it out.

Does there have to be an ATTACH bone to attach a turret because the new dreadnought model doesn't have any. Thanks

It's a good idea, to look 'natural', but not required. It can be attached to any bone you specify. Although honestly I think that model would look better without turrets, I'd say probably just attach it to the firing bones or damage bones for the existing hardpoints.

Alright, I don't think I'll add turrets. It just wouldn't look good on this model too because the hull doesn't look like it was designed for turrets. EDIT: Actually I think I found a point that looks like a turret was meant to be there. It is a Hardpoint breakoff piece but could I mount a turret on it?? Here's what it looks like

Thanks

The picture doesn't work.

I just woke up, but I'll check my dreadnought code and stuff and see if it has break-off hardpoints or not. It very well may have them and I just forgot.

Sorry about the picture, I thought it was working. I'll try it again. I was looking at this hardpoint more I think that a turret will look good on it. But the problem is I don't know how to mount things on breakoff points. It does have breakoff points according to the readme included with the download.

This link should work.

Thanks

Here are the 2 lines you need, taken straight from my republic dreadnought of the same model. Change bone and model as needed.
