I'm busy creating mods for all three factions, and am currently working on the rebels, when i edit the fighters in SPACEUNITSFIGHTERS.XML although i change the build times to one second, it takes longer than this, and i dont know why, also in which file can i find the mobile defence unit attributes? one more thing, is there a way to increase the land battle population in GC? (i assume i need to edit how many units can be dropped at a re-enforcement point, but how?) this is my first mod, and its coming along excellently - any help on these issues would be forever appreciated! plus i'll send you the finished product before i make it available for download:D thanks in advance!
You hshould change it in squadrons.xml. You don;t build fighters individually.

I am not sure on this, but I think to change the unit cap on the land battles you have to edit the individual planets and their waypoints to change the cap s per waypoint. I think i tried tinkering with this in EAW before FOC came out without much success.
thanks very much, i found another way of doing this, also with out success, simply lower the population cost of the units to 0, and you can drop as many as you like, but it means you cant build units in skirmish... and i've now found the file for the MDU's. thanks again for replying, i'll let you both know when its done:)
Uhm, I haven't tried it so I don't know, just an idea... If you've got a working version and you want to be available in skirmish you could try someting like this: xyz No No 1 This is not a proper coding, but setting up a unit this way should work. Give it a try!
Land population cap is handeled by markers...just open MARKERS.XML and change every reinforcement point marker :) And then you can also go into FACTIONS.XML and change the land population per player thing for garrisons.
