I am playing the first release of the FX Mod and I noticed that:

(1) The MAL Artillery Unit (Consortium) only fires at a very close range.

(2) When it fires the turret turns sideways.

I tried editing the XML for it, even copying the original XML settings and nothing seems to work.

Has anyone else had this problem, the MAL works fine in the normal game and in other mods. Not sure how to fix it.

Replace our XML with the vanilla XML.

What is the vanilla XML? I have never heard of them.

Vanilla means original. You can download them here http://empireatwar.filefront.com/file/FOC_XMLs;76367

The problem is the projectiles XML. If I remove the projectile XML the MAL works fine however the projectiles return to the original (except I noticed the missiles are ugly long grey blocks). Copying the FX Mods projectile data to the original XML doesn't help either.

This mod had the best graphics of any I played which is why I have been trying for a week to fix this one issue but playing as the Consortium with a malfunctioning artillery kind of ruins the experience.

gregsboard. As a suggestion just disable the unit from being created. You may not be able to use the unit but at least you'll be able to play the mod without any crashes from it.

Find the original Projectile it uses and replace the entry for it in FX Mod.
