This is something simple many of you may want to do, but might not have figured out yet: the large (bigger than corvette) space units in EAW have fire bones that are attached to, but not in the same positions as the attachment bones, since there is nothing that really seperates a fire bone from an attachment bone all you have to do to give a space unit, (e.g. Nebulon-B) is copy an existing weapon hardpoint for that unit in hardpoints.xml, then change the attachment bone to a fire bone, (e.g. HP_F-L_Bone to FP_F-L_00) then you can change that hardpoint to whatever type you want, and in case your interested wookieepedia says the nebulon-b was designed with 2 tractor beam emitters and a hangar.

Well with the very limited knowlage of codeing I have, I think its all do-able within the XMLs. Try going to the the Ships XML or something like that, I'll look around in there but I think you need a seperate tool for adding hard points, I'm 100% sure though...

You could also use 3D Object Converter, but you'd need Rigging skills.

(please no one get mad) but is this for adding more hardpoints to a model? or just editing where the harpoints go?

Adding hardpoints, All you need to do is do what i said there, change the hardpoiont name ( to something like ) then add the names of the additional hardpoints in the hardpoints line in for the unit (HP_Nebulon_Weapon_FR,HP_Nebulon_Weapon_FL,HP_Nebulon...,HP_Nebulon_Weapon_FL2), all you need is hardpoints.xml, spaceunitsfrigates.xml (or whatever xml the unit your adding hardpoints to is in), and a program designed for editing text or xmls, no modelling required, and make sure to take out the model to attach line for those hardpoints.

a lot of people dont understand coding well, making new hardpoints is easy, but only if you are fimilar with coding in the xmls. you should try starting simple with things like changing numbers, then work your way to the awesome stuff.

i've heard of multi hard points, but never tested it myself, im also a decent coder, not the best, im not a selfish braggart, bt i can do most stuff, maybe just reword it and i'll catch the drift
