hey guys i've been looking for a litte plugin or program can convert .alo models to a format can be read by 3ds max 8:mad: or i wanna know how to change the bone names (no new ones needed only the names changed) and when will the conflict in space v4 be released?:uhoh: :cya:

um....does it really matter what the names of the bones are? and I dont think anything can convert an .alo model, but im probably wrong...

Thats what I was thinking, and chnaging names means you have to redo some line in the hardpoints.xml.

A lot of lines, lol. It really only serves a purpose for adding hardpoints or something...

There is no import plugin yet but you can use hex editor to change the bone names. I'm sending CiS V4 to EAWFiles tonight :)

i'm not very good in hex editing... when i edited the names the AloWiever couldn't open my model... please, write here in some lines how to do it without causing any trouble...

You dont need to change the bone names for the hardpoints to work anyway ? its not really necessary to change them in order to attach your hardpoints to them.

You must not change the file's structure, so new names should have the same amount of letters. They can also have less letters but you must use "00" strings to keep proper structure then. If you put pressure on EAWfiles team, maybe they will upload my mod sooner ;)
