Hi, I've been mucking around with mods for a little while now, but most of my mods and edits have really just been xml hack-jobs (or recently maps). I'd really like to learn the lua's for EaW but not getting very far by just reading through 'em. Could anyone point me to a good tutorial on EaW Lua, or just give me some tips. It'd be much appreciated :nodding:. (I do have coding experience, just not Lua)

Be careful with the changes on lua files, they can affect to AI, I have seen some mods where they edited these files and they do not tested it too. And AI had did not build some buildings or units.

Like your mod? Lua is a bitch, if your just staring out at mapping, i sudgest you limit your contact with Lua to as little as possible. If you really need Lua help, contact sidious invader, he knows alot about it.

I posted a small series of guides that I plan on expanding to full campaign scripting when ever I get a chance. Also at the link below is SI's Story Triggers that has a bunch of scripts I wrote that do various things. And that will give you a head start to lua..... Look at all of the stickies here.... Thanks everyone for the suggestions and links, the will be helpful. May not actually ever get 'round to modding the lua's (distracted with mapping). but hey if I ever feel like stuffing up the AI now I know where to start!
