Alright, so I got a hex editor so I can give the X-Wing a black, stealthy texture, and I change the line in the model(X-Wing) from "RV_XWING" to "RX_XWING". Notice i only changed the V to an X. So then, when I buy the X-Wing squadron and attack a planet with them they don't even show up!!! At all !!! Is the model ruined when I do this or something? or is there just something that I missed? Somebody--Anybody! who knows anyhting about Hex editing, PLEASE help me out...I'm begging you!:help:

I had a similar error once. Make sure your model file is in the right folder. IE, "model" instead of "models" won't work. Otherwise it could be something with the XMLs.

Having the folder named "Models" with an s shouldn't matter tho right? Cuz I have a folder labeled Models and the other models I have turn up just fine. @ 1upD: Nevertheless I will try what you said. Your help is greatly appreciated. Therefore, I thank you. :) *edit*-- I think maybe you have the folder names mixed up. When I renamed it "model" (without an s) none of the other models showed up in game.

So, back to square one: disappearing models. How can I fix this?

sorry, 'model' is incorrect, 'models' is correct. I should have been more clear. Same goes with textures. 'Textures' is correct, 'texture' incorrect. Are you sure everything is spelled right? Check the XMLs.

I tried to do that with the field commander model to apply the naval troopers skin but it gave me an exception. I don't know what is wrong.

More likely it isn't accepting a texture so just isn't showing up.
