I've downloaded and added the HK-50 model into SWG, however when I attempt to use the flamethrower, infantry does not appear as a valid target. I just copied Boba's flamethrower ability code. Can anybody help?

Yeah, there's a lot more that goes into that ability than just the code. A unit has to be specially rigged and animated for that ability so you probably won't be able to use it with the HK models...

Yeah, that's very true. I took a look at the coding for the flamethrower ability. User_Input 0.0 100.0 90.0 225.0 10.0 0.5 All Unit_Flamethrower_Fire p_flamethrower00 The p_flamethrower00 for those who don't know is a particle. I'm going to be digging around the animations for boba fett and see if I can find anything interesting.

EDIT: The animation of the flame thrower for boba fett is Ei_bobafett_flame_attack_00. Hmm, and here's where things get VERY interesting. The animation actually has the flame! The only difference between this animation and HK-47's is the name of the model. HK has it as: HK-47_FLAME_ATTACK_00. Boba Fett's animation is named as: Ei_bobafett_flame_attack_00. From here on I can't really help since I can't test anything until I find my CD to play. To save people time, I checked the bones from both models. Both Hk-47 and Boba Fett have the P_FLAMETHROWER_00 bone.

I've checked and both HK units have the flame animation, I'll look at the bones to make sure.

Here's a tip : Download FX Mod and use our Code. FX Mod 0.1's (which was around before this actual release) Cons Hero HK-47 and his HK-50s have it coded in.

Thanks, never gave that a thought. Wait, but if a person were to use this in a public mod, wouldn't they need permission to use the code?

If a Developer for the mod tells you to look specifically in one of their releases for your fix, I imagine he doesn't really care about it. No you don't. it's nothing special just a unit we coded in.
