I want some order in my command bar. I want to make it so that my icons are aligned by price when I go to buy stuff.

Ok, this took me a while to figure out too. Now, heres the thing, the game lists everything in the order they are in in the xml folder alphabeticaly, so for example: the capitol ships file comes before the frigates file right? thats why your capitol ships are in the left on tour tool bar, the problem is, corvette is alphabetically before frigates also, the end result is a jumbled toolbar. now heres how you can fix it... In my mod absolute enhancement mod, (AEM) I took all the capitol ships and battle cruisers and just put them in the frigate file at the end, now when the game sees them it puts them in the right order, all the new units I put at the end of the toolbar after standard build units to make it easier to find and on the eyes. I will warn you now though, certain units like the venator are in the unique units xml folder so is the vwing and pod walker ect. so look there a little bit too. now for the fighters, make sure you put the squadrons in order, thats what the game sees not the actual fighters. now for ground units, the rebels and empire each have their own file called empire ground companies and rebel ground companies, these are the ones you want to put in order. And dont forget, the GUI row is either going to be 0 or 1, which means top row, or bottom row. Sorry this is so long but too many people give half @ss answers to difficult questions here and I'd rather be thorough, hope that helps man.

I'm not using catagory files unfortunitly. In my mod, each and every land/space unit has it's own XML file, kinda like in UEAW. All the space stations and stuff are in their group folders, though.

I believe that the ships loaded first are on the left of the list. The load order is in gameobjectfiles, with the XML's on the top being loaded first, and the bottom last. Since tech upgrades are among the first things listed there, they always appear on the left by default. I would guess that in XML's with multiple buildables, the order that they are in within the XML determines load order.

So, just for a quick example, if in gameobjectfiles you had:

StarDestroyers.xmlExecutor.xml

And StarDestroyers.xml had Imperial Star Destroyer Mk. 1, followed by Imperial Star Destroyer Mk. 2, then in Executor.xml the Executor SSD, your game would show the ISD Mk. 1, then ISD Mk. 2 to the right of it, then the Executor to the right of that.

HEH I WAS GOING TO POST THAT!!! lol, yes, the units xml's listed first in gameobjectsfiles.xml show first, just like you said. after that it's the order of units in the XML's
