I figured out how to get interventions to work in FOC. Unless someone figured it out already. I was looking in the AI folder (where the XML is) and found a folder called "PERCEPTUALEQUATIONS" inside the folder look for "INTERVENTIONEQUATIONS" and open it. You change the Tarkin to a more prominent Empire hero and proceed to change the Storyplots file to incorporate interventions. After a save and reload during game, It should work.

Interesting... that's the first file I know of from EaW that isn't also in FoC. Since it's a perception, it also has a corresponding file for GoalFunctions and Goals, and a whole folder under Scripts\Interventions. Never even thought to look in the EaW source. Good find.

Problem with the Intervention scripts is they are still in LUA format.

Don't you also have to have the human player changed to "Sandbox_Human" for it to work? I did not have to touch the intervention perceptions at all. I then placed the interventions in the story_plot file, and they worked. If you downloaded the map editor for EAW it has all of the decompiled intervention .lua's. Let me know if you need them.

I think I also had to remove this from the sandboxhumanplayer.xml under templates for it to work.....

I've had a few problems with this, in that I was able to get the interventions working, but it would only give me about one, maybe two right at the start of the game and then nothing more. Note that I did this my own way, I did NOT use any of the information in this thread to do it.

I got it to run a few other Interventions that were disabled too, but I should rephrase the thread to instead of Tarkin starting Interventions it could require Vader or Piett.

Yes, this works too lol. But I don't the Interventions scripts aren't decompiled in the scripts folder.

You can definitely make changes to the uncompiled LUAs. In fact, you'll probably have to, unless you're running pure vanilla.
