Making characters stay on the Executor? -1 reply

So I launched the Executor to attack a Rebel planet just now because I wanted to test something out. The fleet I sent consisted of just the Executor and a fleet commander. When the battle started, however, I noticed that rather than being on the Executor itself, as any sensible person would, the fleet commander was instead tagging along in his own lambda shuttle. Apparently, the Executor is not recognized as a flagship that heroes can stay on during battles. Is there any way to change this? I just looked through the Executor's XML, but I couldn't find anything that looked like it would help.

it might be because the executor is a hero in itself

alright heres your problem, the executter is a transport catogory, thats why the fleet commander wont go in it because it thinks its a land unit since landunits are the only units that use the transport code. You'll have to recode vader and the executter so the executter isnt recognized as a transport anymore but a unique space unit i think, i cant remember the line right now

Is because the Adomitor is Thrawn and accuser is Peitt, the Drath Vader is in the Excutor , and Tyber Zann is in the Peacebringer

Umm no. Thrawn and the adomitor are the same unit. same with the accuser and piett. Vader and the executter are seperate units in the xml and the executter is set to be a TRANSPORT for vader. Heros wont go in it because of the Transport behavior and how its coded. you'll have to recode vaders company so it doesnt use the transport line but instead uses Name goes here of unit I dont remember if thats the right code still :/

Figured I post this in here since you're all talking about executor coding. I've basically already seperated Vader and the Executor, to essentially make Vader a hero and the Executor a generic Star Dreadnought, and then Vader's coding to use a unique executor. Here's my question though, I can't build an unlimited amount of Executors like a Star Destroyer. Do you know what coding controls this? Oh, and perhaps you need to add this line to the Executor files to make it a "transport"?

you have to change the build limits in the multiplayer section to either -1 or a large number to be able to build more than one
