I'm working on some maps for Galactic Conquest, and I'm kind of confused. I opened a different GC map, just to see all of the markers and extra stuff you had to use to make it GC compatible, and I was wondering what the difference between "Defending forces position" and "Garrison position" markers were. I thought maybe they were both the same idea, where you can position your units on the planet, but there were only eight of them total, and there are ten garrison slots, right? Anyway, I'm obviously missing something. Can someone clear this up for me?

i really don't know the difference, but typically you put 10(i put 15 or so) garrison flags, and a defending forces position, at the exact same place together.

but if anything, defending forces marks the place for space units i think and garrison for land I'M UNSURE THOUGH so just put both.
