Hey, I was attempting to import just one ship into FOC from a mod (eaw_foc_space_add_on) and I've run into a problem. The ship (Titan SD if you're wondering) won't fire any of its weapons. I am mediocre when it comes to messing with XML files but I thought I had everything in its right place. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you copy the hardpoints.xml file as well? That file holds the hardpoints for the Titan.

Yes I did. However, to make sure that I didn't transfer over anything else from the mod, I simply copied the Titan hardpoint text field and pasted it into the source hardpoints XML file. Thing is, I've done this before with other ships and it seemed to work just fine. Is there a specific place within the source XML that I need to paste that info? (besides making sure it's in the space unit section)

Also, the hardpoints DO show up in battle, and they are even targetable and destroyable. the problem is that the ship wont fire on any enemies, it will just move into range and then point directly at the target and sit there. any ideas?

Ok, so i tried putting the entire hardpoints xml from the mod into my data directory, instead of editing it myself. same thing, everything works fine but it wont fire on anything. note: instead of copying the entire spaceunitscapital xml from the mod (which would add other ships that i dont want) i copied the text field for the titan only and pasted it into the source spaceunitscapital xml. like i said, ive done this before without a problem, but i thought id throw that out there just in case that might be an issue. once again, any help would be appreciated.

ok........so i tried putting both the spaceunitscapital and hardpoints xml's from the mod directly into my data/xml folder w/o modifying either of them. same result, unit still wont fire on enemies. one thing that happened after i did this however, is that when Cpt. Piett comes into battle, his ship is invisible. i know this is probably due to the fact that the xml for him specifies a model i didnt xfer over, so im not too worried about that. also though, something that i noticed that happens (regardless of whether i use xml's directly from mod or those i have edited myself) is that ONE of the ion cannon bays on the front right will OCCASIONALLY fire on enemies properly. It perplexes me that only ONE hardpoint would function correctly, seeing as how i didnt modifiy the xml's at all. Another interesting thing is that even when that one fires, it will only damage shielding, and not actual hardpoints once that shielding is gone. Im so confused, someone plz help save my sanity! :uhoh:

Sorry about that, I will make an effort to refrain from posting unless absolutely necessary. I would appreciate positive comments and/or help on my problem, however.

Could be something to do with the projectiles from the hardpoints.......
