I FINALLY managed to export my first model with additional bones. I represent you the Victory Star Destroyer with 22 extra hardpoints. It is the first of the models I'm going to rig. I've also coded them in, but the and lines are still a problem to me, because one side of the ships hardpoints fires right through the other side of the ship. I can easily fix this, but I don't this I can fix this so easily with models like the MC40, if I have permission to rig them. So if someone can explain this further, please post.

Sry for double, but I've uploaded the VSD on FileFront. It should be there in sometime.
Nicely done, Ive always been frustrated with the victory having only 3 weapon hardpoints . Did you rename the original bones?
No. But all the bones I added are named 'Dummy**'. The Assault Frigate, next to come, will have 'real' names.
Edit:
Uploading is complete. Download it here http://empireatwar.filefront.com/file/Additional_Series_Victory_Star_Destroyer;100519

First of, well done. Finaly the victory becomes a worthy starship. Your problem of is shooting trought itself is caused by the way the bones are pointing. if you look at it in the ALO viewer you'll see the red arrows pointing out on one side but inward on the other side of the ship. The red arrow is the direction of fire and should allways point out.
But I don't use Bones I use Dummies. I just couldn't find out how to get the bones probperly linked to each other, so instead, I used dummies.
You don't have to link the bones. Just place them pointing the right way and presto, you're done. Only if you have blast decals or break-off props or something like that do you need to link the bones. I think you can rotate the orientation of the dummies by rotating the pivot point. Not sure though... I don't use them.
You can.
And make sure not to use the mirror tool while rigging these bones; that will screw up the orientation
i know your probably not taking requests, but can you consider re-rigging the TIE Interceptor and the Starviper for me? I need them with extra bones in order to fire concussion missiles.
Maybe later, I first want to finish all the frigates and capital ships. I may also continue with ships like the Providence and Recusant, and the MC40 and MC90 and others.
