I want to add the Executer SSD from the Steiner Mod without having to add all the other units. I have the model and texture files, but I'm not sure which XML files I need since I keep getting a log error. The SSD is used by Piete, so I don't need an icon for it. I would also like to use the unit in the main Campaign. If someone can give me some guidance, I'll send you a box of Play-Doh or something. I doubt I'll get any help from the SAU team since I doubt they like seeing me rip out parts of their mod.

You might have to look at each XML individually.

Whatever happened to easy mod making? I made a mod before for Tiberian Sun, and it was a lot easier than this trash. I took all the files I needed for the unit. Hardpoints, Uniqueunits, and Spacesupers. I removed all data from each file that doesn't point to the Executor or Piett. I get the usual log error. I get log errors sometime anyway because of poor game coding, but I know that's not the problem here. Can someone please edit the required XML's for me please!!!!???

Wait, you removed the text from the XML or the XML?

I removed the text that was in reference to unwanted units that were apart of the mod. At the moment, I'm going through each XML file in the mod to see if there's data that may be linked to any of the 5 units I'm keeping. I think I'll just fork out $200 for someone to do it for me. I'd rather fund a mod project of my own and create a team of pros.

Fund a mod project? ROFL!! That's hilarious. Only funding DE has is in the website and forum...

I find that a funded project turns out better results in a shorter period of time. It also helps attract more skill for those who don't do these things for nothing, especially in cases where someone is trying to create something in an area they have little experience; hence having to pay someone to do it for them. This is probably laughable to those who can do this type of modding but to others who cannot, there's really no alternative. In my situation, to ask for help would be asking for a book with step by step instructions to get the desired result. In my opinion, that's asking too much.

...a mod team tried that it went very badly. Typically you do a public request people help.
