I know how to make a shortcut for FOC mods but I'm having trouble creating 1 for an EAW mod. The mod is called Ages of Star Wars: Jedi Civil War. Can someone please help me out? Thanks in advance.

Sure I like to help. Here are the steps to make the shortcut:

1. Right click on the standard sweaw.exe (or swfoc.exe depending on what game it is) and click CREATE SHORTCUT.

2. Now find your shortcut you just made and rename it to the mod name and right click on it and select PROPERTIES.

3. Go to the SHORTCUT tab (on Vista and Windows 7, not sure on XP) and in the TARGET box put this line with a space after the line that is already in there. MODPATH=Mods\ after the slash add the name of the folder that Jedi Civil War is in.

4. Click apply and it should work :)

If you have any problems please tell me and I will help fix them.

I did everything in the exact order and I got this message: The name "C:\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\Star Wars Empire at War\GameData\sweaw.exe"MODPATH=Mods\aosw_jcw specified in the target box is not valid. Make sure the path and file name are correct.

There should be a space between .exe" and MODPATH.

So: \sweaw.exe" MODPATH=Mods\

Okay now the shorcut works but it takes me to the original EAW instead of the mod but I think I know what might be wrong. What is the target location in th shortcut supposed to be and how do I change it?

u need the modpath command because thats where ur mod is. this command tells the game look in gamedirectory/Gamedata/mods for a mod to load.
